Bio: "My music is a priority in my life..."

Kimmy, born in Pennsylvania, a business minded bachelorette, has been on the stage since she was three years old. Back when she was taken to rehearsals with her mother, who was the lead singer of a foursome group? Kimmy grew up with music influences from Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle and the Blue Bells, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Natalie Cole, Stephanie Mills, Anita Baker, Earth Wind and Fire, The Staple Singers, The Isley Brothers, Dianna Ross and the Supremes and the Jackson Five. She attended Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri as music major. She is the writer / arranger for all of the selections on the new solo CD.

Kimmy Was Born To Sing

Kimmy, born the oldest child of four children, was three years old when she first picked up a microphone...trying to sing James Brown "Say It Loud". At the age of 10 yrs. she was the lead singer for her family group "Kearse" which consisted of her baby sister Karmentrina Schevelle and two brothers; Kevin Scott and Keenan Wynn Kearse (deceased 4/7/07). They placed in many talent shows in the DC Metropolitan Area, to include but not limited to The District of Columbia Metropolitan Talent Show Case and the Maryland Metropolitan Talent Show Case. They sang together for 7 years.

Kimmy Kearse - I Give You Me

Buy it from InSound Get this on iTunes

Growing up with the music of Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, Dianna Ross, and other strong black women, Kimmy Kearse knew that a music career was exactly what she wanted to pursue. Gifted with a tremendous soulful voice, she did just that. Starting out by covering LaBelle at the Apollo Theatre in the late ‘80’s, she scratched and crawled her way into the studio so that she could record her own music. Her R&B trio Kimmy and Klasse have made their presence known throughout the independent R&B circuit and Kimmy’s solo effort here shows us why - it’s all about the smooth vocals.
